I spent the majority of the day with my middle child. The one so much like me at her age, yet so different. I was sensitive, emotional, and indecisive as an early teen, as well. The differences are stronger, though. She’s athletically talented beyond belief; that goes without saying. She's academically above and beyond her father, and artistically, she's nothing short of amazing. I was none of those. She doubts herself way too much… I can relate. Yet, while I was wrapped up in my own feelings, she is so caring and compassionate about others, almost to a fault.
Back to today. We looked at spiders, put out mineral, picked berries, and ran errands. I am happy. It seems of all the kids, she and I spend less one on one time. I needed this.
I love that you are sharing parts of your life like this! Thank you
